dnhyoung
I'm running 14/41 with 20" haulers. No problems with 2nd gear starts on the hole shots
ledofthezep
I ran 14/41 also...currently run 13/41 & love it, really liked it with the stock arm anyway... Now I'm running a -2 arm and am going to go with something around 15/38 or 15/40...dunno quite yet. Best thing I'd suggest is since front sprockets only set you back about 6bucks a piece, just get one & try it out.
jasonsb
I also switched from 14-41 gears to 13-41 gears and it works great! My bike would bog a little in the dunes with a front 14 gear. Now it rips without me having to stay in first and second in the bowls. I run 22 inch haulers

I would try to stay with a 14 or 15 and get a bigger rear like 45 to get the ratio you want comparable to a 13-41 so that it will last longer.
