sschevy383 Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Hey Guys, Just got my set of T5's tonight. My stock head is out getting .030 milled off, I ride In the mountians in PA, Hazelton to be exact. Not sure of elevation. I bought a pair or Stock carbs that are supposed to be jetted for these pipes. The guy also told me I need a new throttle cable with these carbs because of the "TORS" is blocked off? WHat is the "tors unit"? and what do i have to exactly get and do to my bike to make it run the way i want. ALso where would i be at a standingpoint with jetting and what not? Thanks guys Ed Quote
jumpcuts Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 dude....I'm not trying to sound rude or anything cause around here im known as a "newbie" too...in these guys' eyes I don't even know how to start a banshee let alone jet my own carbs. There must be threads on here with the same exact question you're asking that go as far back as Y2K. Just do some research through this site....these guys are very informative and descriptive with there instructions on jetting and every other aspect that involves banshee's. Solid. Also, check out thebansheezone.com -- go to Air/Intake and read. Maybe find out the elevation up in hazelnut too. take it easy Quote
Banchetta Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I'd start w/ 300 mains, but I need to know what filter setup you plan on running and any air box mods.... Quote
sschevy383 Posted December 29, 2004 Author Report Posted December 29, 2004 I'm running the stock box with a UNI filter. I'll be running no lid tho... Quote
Banchetta Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 No lid.......start w/ 330 mains, needle 4th or 5th clip from the blunt end (try both and determine the better one on the low end), stock pilots, adjust air screws. Do a wot run in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, shut it down, coast to a stop , pull the plugs and look at them. Black is too rich, Dark brown is perfect, tan or white is too lean...This only for adjusting the mains.. Quote
