I have been reading these forums for a couple years now and everybody seems to be running 300 main jets or more on there bikes and bigger pilots. I am running a dynojet kit needle on the forth clip, 280 main, and stock pilot, air screw out 2.5 turns. I have cool head 20cc domes, k&n,fmf's,boost bottle, and I ported it a little, mainly just sharpend tranfers, intake and polished the exaust side. It seems that my bike runs perfect and not one bike in my group of banshee's can touch me. Does each jet kit use different measurments for there mains, or would I pick up more power with bigger jets. When I say my bike runs good I mean I dont have the infamous banshee power band or anything, from the time I drop the clutch the bike is all there and pulls 6th no problem. Any two cents would be great, sorry bout the novel

I do not think jet kits use different measures for the main jets. I ride a 2005 banshee with 300 mains, jet needle in the fourth notch, no air box lid, everything else is stock. My bike also runs great. I live like a 1000 feet from sea level.

What I think is that all depends in "too many factors", like: every shee is not the same, air density, fuel mixture, pipes, compression, timming, etc.

What mostly change when modifying a banshee, concerning jetting, are the main and needle jet. Most of the time you can leave the 25 jet alone or maybe go bigger with a 30.

One day you should try 310 mains, no airbox lid to see how it runs.

More air, more fuel, more gases out the engine = MORE POWER

You'll have to go up 2 sizes on the mains if you cut or take the air box lid off. You'll gain a couple more ponies. You also might want to try the 5th clip on the needles if you mod the lid or take it off... B)
