For some strange reason I keep burning a whole into the side of my Outewear and Air filter. No matter what I do it keeps happening, I set the filter so it is not near the pipes and when I check, it has a whole in it. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what was your solution to it? Im ready to go back to my stock air box. Any help would be great, also need a new filter and outewear..LOL

My Outerwear got a hole burned in it once but that was my fault. The filter's mount is off-center so you can adjust it to where it isn't hitting the pipes.

All you have to do is get some high temp tubing and put about 6" of the tubing on each stinger tube of your pipes.

Then your outerware can rest against the tubing and not burn.

As soon as I can reduce the size of my pix, I will post it.

I did this 4 years ago and it has worked very nicely.
