What thickness of tubing and did you opt for and did you get gussets or not, and why?

I ride mostly Dumont(bout 90%) with the rest being some local dunes. 200lb rider, with moderate jumping skills(ok i suck at jumping, but still like to do it.. :D )

Anytime jumping is involved I opt for the heavy duty parts. I'm about the same kind of rider as you and my fat ass has already cracked a frame and a swinger. BTW we should meet up in Dumont sometime after I get the shee running again. My wife's been bugging me to take her there again and not just to Glamis.

If you're gonna shell out that much for arms.... and your not a dragger, then why not do it right. Get 'em loaded up... you'll kick yourself for it one day if you when you finally jump something and land wrong.... end up with a 500$ wadded up mess on your front end.

i seen wallrats swinger.

it may have been abuse from the previous owner or him being the crazy rider un known i believe.( chime in Wallrat

i am ordering arms soon (today hopefully) and am going to get all the bells why not it it insurance and its free so why would you not

It was an old swinger and some of the cracks had some rusting. But the main crack that scared me was fresh. Even the rust isn't the greatest indication of dating the crack. Around here fresh steal gets a healthy coat of rust in a day.

Right on, thanks guys.

Hey some Dumont Guys!! (sorry...wrong thread I know). Hows the Sand?!? Never been to Dumont yet, but I know I'm only about 1 hour or so away. I'll have to meet some of you guys there sometimme!

Totally stock Shee now, but I'll get some paddles before I head up there. Right now I just ride the local hills (rocky terrain) and Dove Springs (mix of all types of terrain).

Keep me informed... I'm dying to hit some sand!! :P

the sand is great(soft like beach sand in most places), as long as it hasnt rained out for the past couple weeks..

Prolly wont be heading back up there till after the first of the year(maybe new years,,depends on whats goin on).

Ya dumont is sick. If its only an hour away you're never gonna take the paddles off your shee. Just take it easy your first time out. Dumont has lots of razorbacks that could put you in the hospital real fast.

was there for roost fest and was not all that inpressed camp sites to rocky sand and dunes ok i would go back but take the shee and the dirt bike so i could ride both. i say a better place to take kids othere than glamis a little mor quite my .02 glamis is just as far and 10 times bigger. but if i was an hour away i would be there all the time
