Tim C Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 (edited) I'm going to buy a set of billet intake manifolds and wondering what peoples opinions are. Is the Pro Design intake manifolds the best kind. How do Vito's Bulls Eyes compare?? Edited December 8, 2004 by Tim C Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 ive got a boss intake for 35mm carbs. i think they make boots for stock carbs but im not 100% for sure. so far i like this intake and it eliminates the shitty ass crossover tube making eveeything easier to get to. Quote
thecabinboy Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I got the Trinity set-up with no X-over tube. what are you trying to get out of this mod because if it's power your after I think your splitting hairs. Mine does it job seals up everything, raises the carbs to clear the clutch arm and gets rid of the X-over tube. The model I got has " built-in Diffuser channels Quote
Chemical Castration Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Ive got Trinity intakes and theyre really nice good quality and they do their job. As for performance im not really sure youre gonna find a set of intakes that will give you a serious edge over others. However I wouldnt reccomend taking out the crossover tube. At a certain part of the RPM (depending on the motor and reeds) the draft through the carbs is reversed temporarily since the reeds do not shut in time. This reverse draft creates a rich condition. A boost bottle eliminates this as the charge gets pushed into the bottle instead of back through the carb. There are miced opinions about it. But alot of very respectable builders have told me to use it. Plus it doesnt hurt to keep it on. Quote
