If you do the zerk fitting, (which you should, doesn't cost much to do) watch out how much grease you put in, easy to blow out the seal @ the dust cover. You will have to take the swingarm back off to reset the seal, else you will tear it up riding.

thanks for all the reply's , I am totally impressed with this forum site. used to go to atv connection. com but since my sons and I got banshees we get very little response from the site. seems like all bllasters and warriors.

Anyway my one concern with getting out the BFH is I don't want to cause any damage to the frame. Since the bolt needs replacing I may consider cutting it out. Could use a little advice on exactly where to cut. I really appreciate all the pictures and help. How much was the stainless bolt?? that may solve future rust problems. I will also put in the grease fitting. We put one on the axle housing when we replaced the bearings awhile back.

thanks loads

cut, carefully, between the dust cap and frame on both sides. with either a cutting wheel or an air hacksaw. either work well.

A complete rebuild "kit" is about $50.  Which includes a new bolt, sleeve, and bearings.  You need all three.  If your shit is that rusted up, you will need all new anyways.  So go ahead, and beat the ever lovin shit out of it.  :bolt:

Your welcome! They have every banshee bolt in stainless, either plain or show polished finish. I've been much impressed with the stuff. They have a kit on ebay sometimes, covers all bolts on the shee except the swingarm, uppera-arms, and foot pegs. I believe that is about it. I spent about 200 total with the swingarm bolt costing 52.00 of that.

Finally got that bolt out. Thanks for all the comments and help. I had to use a sawsall and cut just inside the frame on each side. pulled out the swing arm and the bolt came right out then. I was rusted to the shaft big time. Could not break it loose by pounding on it. Thanks again for all the replys to this topic.
