I was wondering if it would be worth it to mix a lttle 100 octane , and also the pro and cons of doing this ?? I usually have it laying around for my car .. and I have been thinking about mixing about a gallon to the next mix ..

Any help would be GREAT !

It's actually a waste and alone will not increase your power if it's unoxygenated. It is beneficial for high compression motors with advanced timing to decrease the likely hood of detonation. So in other words if you don't run high compression you won't see any benefit either way. It won't hurt the motor to use it, just the pocket book.

Get a head with 20cc domes and go +4 on the timing and the 100 octane will make a difference, of coarse you can't run pump fuel anymore with that setup.

the higher the octane the slower it burns. Hihg octane is good to help keep the motor cooler and prevent detonation. Thats why av gas is high octane, planes need alot of compression because of the altitude, high compression causes more heat. so if you run lower compression it will decrease your performance, but if you have overheating problems it will help that.JMO

Well , i was asking because I have a couple gallons laying around , for my car... and it is down for teh season and I dont wanna let the gas sit and go bad so ..I was figuring why the hell not ..

car sunds good

the gas will not help or hurt to run it without the compression..

it will make it un a little cooler but you wil not gain any performance .

but the smell is priceless...
