PolyKarbon Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Quicksand makes the best a arms right? What geometry should I get? Does +1 mean that its an extra inch in width/forward? Im so confused. Quote
nater006 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 +2+1 would be two inches wider, one inch forward. +1 is probably just one inch wider. Quote
racer Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 +2 + 1 = +3 in algebaric terms 287574[/snapback] actually, the diference would be most noticable in trig. whereas 2" out and 1" forward would put the new pivot root 5 inches away from the original position. then the spindle mounts would lie in a position 116.565* away from the original. of couse that is for the left side. the right side would remain the same distance away from the origin as one the left, but would then lie at the position 26.565*. That make sense to everyone? Quote

sredish Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 The first number (+2) is width and the second number (+1) is the forward. If there is only one number, it means it's only that width wider and no forward. +2+1 = 2" wider and 1" forward +1 = 1" wider only. I'd get +2+1's. The one inch forward helps the front end stability and helps move weight where it's needed. Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Sredish hit the nail on the head.....but I do like the mathematical explanations! Quote
Big Blue Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 I recently put +2+1 on and works shocks, lsr axle and it feels like a totoaly different bike alot more stable now. I need to get my rear shock redone though. Quote
