BudBlazer Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I am thinking about purchasing a Banshee. The only problem is that I am not sure it would be good for where I live. It is mostly desert and I've heard the suspensio isn't that great in desert terrain. If I left the suspension stock would it do any harm. I dont mind an uncomfortable ride, Im more concerned with the suspension wearing and subsequently breaking; is there any problem? Quote
Wallynut Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 I don't know anything about desert riding. If you can mess up a Banshee suspension hitting things out there, I'm sure you can ruin any other make of machine also. There's lots of aftermarket stuff out there for most makes of machines, but nothing has more options then the Banshee. As for comfort, I'm partial to my Banshee, the seat is better then most for long range riding. You need to decide if the 2 stroke or the 4 cycle is more in line with the riding you do. Being a holiday weekend, give it a day or two, someone with desert experience will pipe in. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 banshee's aren't the best on fuel,if your going on long rides you would want the big tank. the stock suspension is ok for the average rider. Quote
sredish Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Banshees are incredible desert runners. Granted, the suspension isn't that great, but if you get a banshee and put on some inexpensive shocks, you'll have a kickass screamin desert machine. Buy the banshee, get a set of Toomey T5's, and then get some Works shocks to help soak up the bumps and you'll be happy. Quote
