jsyi Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 (edited) Have any of you guys here gotten TCS shocks from TCS directly? A buddy ordered a set and just received them. They were dinged up to hell and had lots of imperfections in the finish such as paint blemishes on the coils and chips...looked as if they had just been run over by a log skidder(and by no means am I exaggerating. Considering you are paying $700+ you would think it would arrive in perfect condtion....the packaging it arrived in was great....so I am assuming that the coils and shocks were already dinged and chipped prior to being shipped. I dont want you guys to think im ranting about nothing... My next question is.......what kind of shock body does TCS use. The body of the shock resembles my friends Fox to the "t". Any input would make me jump for joy. Thank ya'll for taking your time to read this extremely lengthy post. Here's a few pics of what these trampled shocks look like. Banshee0028 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 I would be very interested in what the answer is here as I am about to contact TCS and possibly order some shocks too. I have heard great things about TCS from those who have used them so I am thinking of trying them also. I called Todd Wed AM and left a mssg to call me back to go over a few questions I have. I never heard from him? Not sure if they were too busy or what, but I will try again. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 for $700 i would want to be the one who chips them up. try to get some money back for the used parts. Quote
Wallrat Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I would try to call Todd up ASAP. Who knows what happened...maybe you got sent a pair that had been sent in to be worked on instead of a new pair. I've heard nothing but good things about TCS suspension and their customer service so I doubt you'll have any problems. Post the results. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Todd makes his own shock bodies. The pictures show chips in the powdercoat on the springs only ( which will not affect the springs performance ), was there other damage? Todd does get very busy and probably took time off for the holiday, try calling him again, he'll probably send you new springs. Quote
