I was looking at the Tucker+4 swing arm with round house style carrier. It goes for about $670 (shipping included) Prosport atv is their website. Anyone running one? I was also looking into the Quicksand model. Can Quicksand match the red '04 frame? Where's the best price for Elkas?

I think my price on a +4 is a little better than Tuckers. If Im not mistaken Tucker and me both use the 1 3/8" round chromo rather than the 1 x 2 square tubing.

I checked the Tucker swingarm out real close when I was looking at a replacment. Looks like a real nice set-up but I wanted the quad bolt carrier support system instead of the dual. I always recommend Janssen Racing because I took months making my decision and kept coming back to them for my swingarm choice. It's well worth the extra 29.00 dollars for the Janssen IMO, you also get a lifetime waranty(even if you crash and break it) instead of a 5 yr. I couldn't find anything with the quality and warranty, chrome included for the price. If there's a better swingarm for the price, let me know.

Thanks RNbrad...I will check out Janssens...Cotton eye Joe, what is your product line? I also learned Tucker pre-heats the stock, and then MIG welds. I am no welder...but isn't TIG the preffered method? Maybe because of the pre-heat, itallows for good heat penetration  If anyone knows please reply.

I prefer the TIG method. I have all my welding done by a Utah State Certified Welder. The guy has over 30 years of experience. Personally, I wouldn't trust any one else.

Pre heating is required for good penetration with some welds. I wouldn't think you'd need to preheat something as thin as the material we use, but then again, I'm not much of a welder. I know welding cast you need to follow a preheat and cool method, and on some thicker materials you have to preheat to 400 or so.
