BenBB
Brake light switch probably, my '96 doesn't have one so not sure how it works exactly (don't know if all the fluid will pour it if you remove it heh)...but then the brake light wouldn't light up when you hit the fronts... sheeintoxicated
its just two wires .it might be for the brake light like you said witch i remove the rear brake already so maybe i can remove the two wires than Thanks maria
ranshee
One should be your brake line, the other is a throttle and another is for the tors crap. If I am corect there should be three wires there when brand new. If your talking about the tors wire, go ahead and remove it if you have unpluged your tors
sheeintoxicated
No its on the brake lever its two wires.i no the cable you are talking about for the tors its on the thumb for the throttle. its on the lever it self. ranshee
Well its just a wire for the brake light, you should be able to get rid of it. Is it pluged in or is it hard wired to the perch. I have an 04 and mine does not have this extra wire. My tail light comes on when I hit the back brake. ???I think???
Meat
Yea they're for the brake light. No doubt. keep em plugged in if you wanna use the brake light.
BenBB
Ok scoped out the online microfiche, hard to tell but it looks like that switch works off the lever and not hydraulic pressure, so you should be able to just remove it. If there's any doubt about losing brake fluid, back it out slowly and see if any brake fluid comes out (I don't think it will). BTW welcome to the HQ. Now post some pics of you and your Banshee! Hehe j/k

sredish
Those wires ARE the brake light and they can be removed with no probs. Just put a little pin in the slot on top and pull it out.
