Wallrat Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Climbing was my life back in high school. I actually went to college right outside of Yosemite just so I could be close to all that granite. I never got all that great. Personal best was a 5.11c and I only bagged a couple walls in Yosemite, the largest being about 1200 feet or so. Still...not too bad. I still get out once in awhile. I'm nowhere near where I used to be but I can still get up a 5.9 with some finesse. Quote
kenr74 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I've done some mountains but not much of the technical stuff you are doing. Quote
onebanshee Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I got into climbing about 3 years ago when i moved to college, I played soccer for my college for a year but could not stand the coach so me and some buddies got into climbing. It is a blast, we have some world class climbing here,(salt lake area) so if you ever end up down here let me know. Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Wasn't expecting to hit HQ and start talking about Rock Climbing. My last breakage was in the States while climbing in 'Arches National Park' up at Delicate Arch, the one that's on the front of all the Utah books, looks like 'The wrong trousers' (UK animated thing). Sorry for my ignorance, but I was only on holiday from Scotland. Not a rock climber really, but if I'm there and it's a challenge I'll take it on. . The Granite's good in Scotland too! Cheers, Rare Quote
