wompasprez Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 Was thinkin about installin yfz front shocks. Has ne one done this to their bansh yet? I took my buddies off of his and tried to fit them on mine, but they were to tall and the bolts wouldn't line up. I was wondering what all had to be done to make them fit. Just wondering if anyone had done this and what they thought of them after they put them on. It looked like it was gonna make my front end alot taller...do you have to get different A-arms? Quote
KRMit Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 Do a search on this site for "yfz450 shocks" and you should find all the info you need. I've been researching it lately and will probably snag a set as soon as I get the extra $. You have to grind a little off your frame where the shocks mount and also some on the a-arms. I think you might have to take a little off the bottom of the shocks as well. I'm not sure, but I think it will sit up 1" higher than stock. Quote

wompasprez Posted November 2, 2004 Author Report Posted November 2, 2004 is it worth doin all that work though....are those shocks that much better. I wasnt' sure if i would like the taller look in front Quote
sredish Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 They are much better quality shocks and I've heard from several others that they handle much better. If you have the chance to get some, unless you want to go all out for some Works or Elkas. Quote

Ill take a picture of mine tomorrow, my shocks are off, ill show you what I grinded, I never grinded any a-arms or any off the frame. I love mine. Quote
