adrenilinjunki Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 im looking at making a trip to canada in the spring just wondering what its like and what kind of trail permits you need and how to get them Quote
banshdog Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 I have never been, but was considering it last summer. I heard that all quads need to be registered and have insurance to legally ride over there. Cant remember who or where i heard it from, but definately look into it before you go. Quote
red ore Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 where in the hell is there a place to ride in Canada??? Quote
Thats Right Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 First of all you are correct, you need insurance and registration to legally ride on public land. Fines for no insurance is like $2500, plus they impound your bike, or at least here in Alberta anyways. Other provinces could be different tho. Also what kind of riding do you want to do? mountains? trails? etc. Try and remember that Canada is the second biggest country in the world so it depends if you live in the east or the west. I am not familier with the east so I am not much help there. In my area there is quite a bit of variaty lots of trails alittle bit of dunes nothing like the dunes down there tho. Hills, lot's of muskeg. Every may long weekend we go to a place called Brule near Hinton, Alberta. It is in the Athabasca river valley it is all sand with hills and trails. It is alot of fun. I will post some pics when I get them scanned. Quote
