williamjernigan Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I just installed my sst's and I noticed that the right pipe is hitting one of the coolant hoses. Will this cause it to melt. Also the cables that have the wire on the outside for protection are hitting the bottom of the right pipe. Any suggestions. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Yes it will melt, keep everything off the pipes. I would get the tires first, before shorting the swingarm.i've read in here good things about the kenda klaws, I'm going to try those. My stock tires suck Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 On the coolant hose, I put the spring looking thing on mine down by the water pump, then zip tied it to the frame. I also zip tied all those other cables/lines etc to each other, and the coolant hose to keep them away from my powdercoated frame, and from the pipes. Quote
Ducman Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 I split a piece of donor radiator hose and put it around the coolant line in the location you are talking about to keep the pipes from burning the hose. The other cables with a spring like cover will aventually wear through the nickel plating too. I would do the same around the cables. Quote
