Ducman Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 If you have pipes and mods you may need to go up a size or 2 on the main jets to compensate for cold air temps which can cause your motor to run lean. On a all stock bike it may not be as noticeable or as necessary but still should be considered. Quote
superchicken Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 if the engines been rebiult most likely youve got wiseco pistons in her.there forged not cast and expand quicker than the cylinders during warmup.if you do have them let her warm up a little longer before you romp on it or you'll get a cold seizure, not good.other than that no specail fluids, but make sure your anti freeze is mixed 50/50 or you can get cracked cylinders if it freezes over Quote
99Red_Roostr Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 You will need to adjust jetting, maybe just move the needles up/ but maybe jets as well. Do not run it lean!! or you will learn more about top end rebuilds than you want to. 99rr Quote
