Cutting powercore 2 in half

If i cut my powercore 2s in half to make them like fmf shorty silencers, how will the sounds be?? Right now all the sound comes from the engine the silencers kill every last bit of sound it sucks, so i wanna cut the powercore 2s right in half, i see it done on dirt bikes alot but how would it work out on my banshee will the powergains be like putting fmf shorts on and will it put out more sound??

Maybe try and repack them before you cut them. They could just need some repacking and they'll sound a lot better. My PC2s are pretty loud and I'd doubt that they'd pass sound level.

If the sounds coming from your engine are killing your exhaust you've got probs to worry about then silencers .

good thought, what kind of sounds are you hearing from your motor?

Sry didnt really explain it good, i meant more sound comes from the expansoin chambers than the silencers, the powercore 2 are just to quite, i mean im not lookin to piss anyone off with noise, but i heard a stock banshee that sounded louder so i wanna cut them to create more sound and performance

i have the same silencer's and was planning on doing the same i seen a set done. u would think it would make it run a little better.but im not real sure.i am sure that it does sound better not a whole lot louder but definately sounded more throaty. let me know how it it works out before i cut mine lol
