banshdog Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Can someone give me some info on case savers? It sounds like something that would be worth the cost. But what purpose do they serve? In what situations do you need one? Installation? Thanks guys. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 You get one so if your chain breaks it protects the case from getting cracked by the chain whipping around and smacking it...All you have to do to put it on is remove the flywheel cover and put the case saver in place, 3 bolts and it's done...If you don't have one and your chain breaks you'll be wishing you spent the 20 bucks on one!! banshdog Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Hmmm.... doesnt sound like a bad idea. I've never heard or seen it, but do chains break often? I dont think that i will press my luck, i better just get one. Quote

Mounts behind the counter shaft sprocket, protects the alloy cases from damage in event of chain snapping or coming off the sprocket. Good insurance!! Edit: Sorry bigboy didn't see your post!!
