I'm interested in buying a quad, but its 3000miles away, I'd like to fly out to make sure its what I think and then ship it...whats the best, easiest and cheapest way??

i've heard of people shipping large-heavy fairly cheap (compared to UPS/FEDEX/truck) items thru greyhound, but was told they only pickup/deliver to major cities...

Eh..you could find someone heading back from the dunes.... I hear there are a few crazy people that drive 6000 miles round trip to go ride in some sand. :P

I think if you break the bike down to the frame with all the guts n stuff still attatched, and then take the rear end off, and the front end off, you might be able to ship it via a shipping company such as AFB, Forward Air, etc. You just have to drain all the fluids, and have it essentially crated. K&T ship their bikes to Cali to go ride out there from time to time from what I hear. and their crates are essentially steel tube frames that the bike bolts to.
