I know that you can put a 600 streebike clutch in banshees , many dragracers run them but im unsure of what clutch it is.. is just a regular yfz r-6 clutch or is it something else?? any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance Quote

rebelbanshee2 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 i think you are confusing the old FZRs with the new FZs The FZs are the same basic engines as the YZF-Rs The FZRs are older completely different bikes. Quote
2Smoker Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I would really like to know. You would think the 600 clutch plates would be alot stronger and durable than a banshee cutch because of the bigger motor. Has anyone actually tried this? Quote

What are the real advantages? Quote
snowprophet1 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 Yamaha pt # 4H7-16321-02. More surface area than stock banshee. It has more clutch material towards the ID. The rubber 0-ring spacers found in the stock banshee setup are discarded and the clutch material takes it's place. Good trade off! Quote
racer Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 one type of plate is thicker also, i dont remember if its the steel, or fiber. but since they are thicker its likes having stiffer springs. Quote

98bonerSTOCKshee Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 are all the plates replaced with the street bike, or just a few? Quote
