NYUK Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 (edited) FROM A 1993 BANSHEE, OWNED BY A WOMAN. SHOCKS ARE IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER, BUT THE SPRINGS ARE PINK.nothing a nice set of outerwears won t cure, make me an offer. Edited September 19, 2004 by NYUK Quote
Holyman Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Those are from the ultra rare 1993 Banshee with the lavender plastic. Most people deny that such a Banshee existed but it is obvious that they did. I'll try to post a pic of one I saw on eBay a while back. One of these days when people start to return banshees to originals, these will be the rarest of all. Quote
InFlames Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 LOL, i've seen the pink shock setup before....I almost didnt want to believe my own eyes!! Quote
The Rebel Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Evidently they put em on 92s also. Unless someone was just a total DA and swapped them on to mine. They are fugly. OUTERWEARS... Quote

Holyman Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 They have always been based on the RZ engine which was a 6 speed long before they made the banshee. Quote
wielandr Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 like i said i wasnt sure about it thats just what i heard from a guy that has a 89 but he must not know his ass from elbow like most people and sorry NYUK, i talked to a buddy that has a 98 he is getting new suspension on and he said he would give me his stockers for 50 bucks!!!!!! The Rebel Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Yeah Holy's right about the shee coming from the RZ. The RZ was a derivitive of the old RD250, RD350 and later the RD 400. Then later was the Daytona 400. The RDs came from the R5 350s which were 5speed with no reed valves (piston port). I had a 70 model R5 with mods similar to what we are doing to the shee motors now. Those were super neat little screamers back in the 70s when you could buy some bad ass 2 stroke street bikes up to 750cc. Can you say wheelie master? Quote
DMAN94 Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 on the 93's they mader the rear shock 1" shorter then added 1" back in 94'. just a heads up. you can match the specs, it was the only difference besides colors. Quote
