Oilsmoke Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 inthe winter in utah they salt the roads for ice, we spray are chrome wheels with a layer of WD-40 then wash the off in the spring helps keep the rust down. It may make cleaning up hard but it's better than rust. ANybody else ? Quote
XtremeYFZ450 Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 (edited) I go to Pismo Beach quite a bit during the summer......I use silicone spray that you can pick up at any yamaha dealer. I goes on clear, I spray down the whole bike from top to bottom including your chain and very little cleanup. I use it on my shee and my YFZ 450, no rust so far. AZ DESERT RACER Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Every time I went to Rocky Point i used to spray my whole bike down with diesel fuel. It's cheap and it's easy to wash off. Quote
