370banshee Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 i have a 03 shee with toomey t5's and reeds. it really nothing outragous by any stretch but i was wondering what kind of paddles to run i was thinking about a 9 paddle hauler but nobody stocks tehm or they are sold out. and all DAR in silver lake has is 8 paddles and 10 paddle extremes. anyway i don;t really want a 8 padde because i wanna get soem better reeds a coolhead and maybe a bit of porting then the 8's won;t be enought right??? lemme know i only have 4 weeks till i leave to go Quote
hamuel Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Me if yah got to have a hauler's and have basic modes 9 paddles will do perfect just what yah wan t to have. If yah like to play and don't drag much I would recommend the itp sandstars. They are a complete different ride. Quote
racer Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 if you like to turn, not slide, then get the sandstars. the haulers hookup a lil to much for me and it makes the bike kinda push the frontend through the turns. just my opinion though. Quote
duneslinger Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 hualers rule on the sand 8,9or 10's work if you're geared for them! drop one front tooth [13] for some extra pwr if people say hualers don't turn? no way i've blasted down many trails on the dune with my hualers just fine, edges and the other vpaddles come around alittle easier that's all. I,ve run 8paddle hualers 20/12/9 on one of my bikes for 2years a not portted geared 14/41 Quote

sheeweet Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 I got my 9 paddle 20x11x10 haulers from www.rockymountainatv.com My mods are just T5's and duel K&N's. I can only speak for the haulers and I say they are awesome in the dunes for whatever you want to do. Even when my shee was stock I ran the haulers with no problem. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 I run 20x10x10 haulers w/10 scoops , on absically stock bike....wish I would have gotten eight, lugs the motor pretty good, any one want to trade? Quote
Wallrat Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 Slow, spend $13 on a new front sprocket - 1 tooth smaller than whatever you're running now. Problem solved. Quote

370banshee Posted September 19, 2004 Author Report Posted September 19, 2004 oh yeah one more thing how much did your 9 haulers run you?? just wondering the price i got on teh 10hauler extremes was outragous at like $310 for 2 tires and 125 wheels!!! that seems really high to me i was thinking more along the lines of maybe like $260. sheeweet Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 (edited) I think I paid $220+ for the 9's on 160's from Rocky Mountain. edit: I went to look for you and Rocky Mountain has them in stock. For $224 you can get the 20x10x10 9's on 160's. These were not the extremes. For the extremes it is $89, 77 for the non extreme, for a single tire. I couldn't find the package for the extremes. Here's the link to RM. You'll need to look for the ATV tire & wheel packages in the catolog. From there you can place an order if you so desire. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/home.asp?sid=0005397426 Edited September 20, 2004 by sheeweet Quote

370banshee Posted September 21, 2004 Author Report Posted September 21, 2004 aren't 125's better in the sand though??? thats what i've always used and everybody i've ever talked to use teh 125's?? maybe i'm wrong am i?? Quote

I wouldnt say 125's are better just lighter and have a better chance of bending. i would rather have a set of 160's or 190's and be able to use the wheels for something else if i wanted. im running 190's all the way around on my dune tires. Wallrat Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 I've been using strictly 125's for my sandstars. Never had a problem and I'm a jumping fool. Its all about leaving a sacrificial weak link in the system - I figure I'd rather bend a $30 wheel than an axle. Quote
