I never worried about my old little trailer but this weekend will be my first trip to the sand since I got my big trailer. Do you guys air down your tires on your trailer as well as your truck? Trailer is probably around 2400 lbs loaded and has 2 axles. I'll have an onboard air compressor so airing back up is not a problem.

It really depends on the sand condition. My friend pulls a 28ft toy hauler without airing down the tires. He doesn't usually get stuck unless the sand is real dry and soft. Since you got air you might as well let a little out. Its easier to air down than it is to dig out.

I would have to agree, its all about teh sand conditions. I never really have had a problem getting a trailer in the sand. But the camping area in Gordons is alot firmer than the riding area. Whenever we take the trucks out to play we air the tires down. I would say just air the tires in the truck down. You should not have to worry about the trailer. And if it only weighs 2800lbs, you can just drag the damn thing.

Just leave them air'd up, no need to let them down. Looked for you at the show Fri - but never saw you, bummer. When's your first trip to Glamis? We'll have to hook up again.

Been there, just prefer Glamis as Dumont is so small and can be dagnerous on a busy weekend. Planning a trip (to Glamis) the 2nd or 3rd weekend in Oct.

Figures, I work both of those weekends. I've got the 2 after that off but I think one of those is Halloween. I'll be in Pismo this weekend - now you wanna talk about small...

We'll be doing plenty of trips this season, we'll get together some time. Travis bought a new truck, toy hauler, and sand rail, so needless to say he's chomping at the bit to go out too. We may end up going out Halloween too. Have a good time at Pismo.
