ranshee Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I was just wondering if any body on here knew what kind of greese to use on the zerks for the A-arms and swingarm and all that stuff? I know if you mix two kinds of greese you can mess things up so I was wondering what Yahama recomended? Thanks in advance guys. Quote
zilladude Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I have always used Bel Ray waterproof grease. Quote
Banshee~ Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I use marine grease...yamaha will recommend the grease they make if they make any Quote
SICK BOY Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I use the same as Zilladude BelRay waterproff.Great stuff. Quote
siezed-up Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Use waterproof or just regular bearing grease, just keep doing it at regular intervals and your bearings or bushings will last alot longer than most machines out there. I grease mine every 5 or 6 rides and wipe off the excess grease and then "Ride It Like You Stole It"!!!! Quote
pimpeinkc Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 i have always used duralube, they make good products and i havent ever had a problem, but as suggested above, it may be the schedule at which you greese which makes the difference Quote
