Every now and then when i go on a ride i get arm pump and it gets annoying. I found a workout that helps quite a bit that might help some of you. You have to make the weight first though which is just a coffe can that you mix some quick crete in. Then you put plant hook( I have no idea what to call it except that), which is just a large screw that has a loop on the end of it. Just put that in the center of the quick crete and let it dry. When it drys get some thick string and tie about 3 feet of it to the loop on the end of the screw/bucket. Then on the other end you take some thick PVC or metal tubingand drill a hole through it to tie the string to. The workout itself is just to hold the piping with the weight on it straight out in front of you and twirl it up, basically wind the string/rope like a winch. Then let it back down slowly, after a couple of times doin that I am beat, but it helps with arm pump. I'll try to get some pics in a few days if anyone wants any.

that workout must be the most painful exercise i have ever done. we have one of those at our schools weight room. its a short thick wooden pole wrapped in tape with a string thanks like 4 feet attached to it and at the bottom a 5 pound weight. it feels like your forearms have a horrible sunburn while you go up and down a couple times, wow does it burn. when you see someone doing it youd think they were faking because it appears to be so easy.

Ride a dirtbike, preferably a CR or KX500,after a couple of rides, you won't even notice arm pump anymore. When you do start to notice it again, jump back on the dirtbike.

You'll be so tired of riding the bike that you'll be begging to get back on your quad

I do that workout all the time. It really builds the back of your fouramrs up. I just tie the string around a couple freeweights rather than making a weight...
