rmd8123 Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the proper config for my carbs. I have a 2004 banshee with toomey t6s. I have a 2 into 1 k&n air filter. I have a boost bottle installed, and nothing done to the engine. I live just about sea level and temperature is around 85 degrees. Any ideas of what i should have everything at would be appreciated. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 280? 290? 280 sounds about right, that's what mine is at with the t-5's... I heard those t-6's are kinda tricky to get dialed in right, you may be in for a lot of trial and error. One thing I also hear is to keep your stock needles opposed to using the Toomey needles... sredish Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I'm gonna say start a little higher, like 300. 4th clip on the stock needle and 27.5 pilot. Just keep an eye on the plugs. Some even like a 310 main and some like a 280, but better to start richer than leaner, so you only have one way to work. Start too lean, then your bumping up higher just to bump back down. Quote
