I've been having shifting trouble since the end of roostfest. I took the clutch off last night and noticed my shift for looked adjusted properly as it had before. After diggin into it I found that the "cam" that looks like a flat head screw was loose. There is a nut on the bottom that is suppose to tighten to hold that cam in place. Mine was loose so everytime I tried to actually shift It cam unadjusted.

I've loosened mine before, and tried like hell to get it tight. I hope I did. I didn't disassemble anything to get to it, I just kind of manuvered a wrench in there sort of....

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm having problems shifting 2nd to 3rd on pavement. (I've lost a few drags against my buddies 450 because of this  )

But then, shouldn't the loose cam problem be common through all the gears? Confused...

That's exactly what my problem was. I couldn't get out of second under power. If I was putting along it was fine. Must have something to do with the way the torque is on the shift star.

Fixit, thanks man, I'll have to take a look at that.
