sredish Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Just ordered one from RMATV for $20, and I thought I'd get some opinions from you guys. Anyone used one, how do they flex, and how do they look in real life? Later. Quote
roosthrower Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I don't really think you can go wrong with an aftermarket shifter for only $20. I was thinking about getting one until banshee370 hooked me up with a free stock shifter. Quote
Turbo J Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 I have the chome one and I am real happy with it. I had to grind just a little off of the foot peg to gain some clearance. You might want to lock tight the clamp bolt... IMS can keep their 100 dollar shifter Quote
TheBansheeMan86 Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 the tusk shift lever BLOWS. it flexs like CRAZY, the bolt always comes loose, and the "chrome" around where it mounts is flaking off from tightening it too much (tight enough to keep it from being loose), and it rubs on my footpeg. i wouldnt pay 5$ for another tusk shifter. i mean it looks nice, but is a POS. Just got it mounted today. Haven't really rode with it yet, but it does rub just a tad on the pegs. I was able to bend it away just a tad and it's ceased for the time being. We'll see how it feels tomorrow. Oh, didn't get chrome, jus the silver std. aluminum. Quote
holeshotkid Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 I had the plain one and loved it. I didn't think it flexed at all and had a very positive feel to it. I would buy another if I needed on. You guys might try landing on the footpegs when jumping instead of on the shifter... Quote
