thecabinboy
Just installed a kit. It contained a new Bi-wound spring and a ball bearing shift arm. Has any one else used this set up yet? I probably wont ride for another month or so and was wondering if it was worth the money (35 on Ebay)?
banshee04le
It lightened your wallet. Lighter is faster. Sorry, I don't know. What's the theory behind it? It looks like stock parts. Is the spring stiffer? Is the arm longer or shorter?
JTQuad
Im also curious how it works, If its good, $35 is cheap to spend on a mod - JT
jinx44
$35!? I paid $70 for the ones I bought and would pay that again. The shift pro works awesome. I have a cut star also. It takes VERY little effort to lift the shifter with the shift pro. The spring is considerably softer. If you are worried about a soft spring, I think even the roller would be an improvement with the stock spring. Just to give you an idea how much it helps, I can't even turn my star by hand with the stock setup, but with the shift pro I can easily roll it around. I am headed to ebay right now to get another if they are only $35. By the way, aftermarket shifts help a lot. Stock shifter flex WAY to much. Just checked ebay and the only ones I see are still $69. sinister shee
IVE GOT ONE WITH A MODDED SHIFT STAR IT WORKED AWESOME EXCEPT I STARTED HITTING NUETRAL ALOT OR STUCK BETWEEN GEARS, NUETRAL EFFECT IM NOT SURE WHICH ONE, SO I PUT THE STOCK SPRING BACK IN SEEMS TO BE WORKING GREAT. WAY EASIER ON SHIFTING DEFINATELY WORTH THE MONEY
