I'd try disconnecting the tors also...I fought w/ shees before thinking it was jetting and it turned out to be the tors. Disconnect the little black box above the left exhaust and disconnect the parking brake switch. Takes 2 minutes and worth a million. If it still persist, then go down to 300 mains. One way to tell if the needles are affecting or the mains is to hold it wide open and see if it cleans up after a few seconds. If it does, then your needles are too rich. IF not, then its your mains.

wow, ok guys I just came in from taking her for a test run and shee moves. :headbang: Call me a pussy but that was close to scary fast. It may be because I am on a paved street right in the middle of the city. Anyway, after doing some research I found that the pilot jet that I replaced was in fact not a pilot jet. It was a small jet that you can see by looking in the side of the carb. So I fixed that and went to a 30 pilot jet. Now it runs but wont idle very well. It just dies if you let off the throttle. I have the air screws 1 3/4 turns out. I replaced the main jets with 300's down from 320's. Now I dont know if Im running to lean yet I havent done a plug burn but am getting ready to do that in a minute. I was getting frustrated with this whole thing since everyone I talked to was telling me to do diferent things. Some people told me to run 300 or smaller jets and some were saying at least 340's or larger. But I do apreciate all the help you have given me. If you have any advice please let me know as I am new to this and am just learning. The whole needle position and all I am still confused about but for now Im just leaving that alone. Anyway, I just got excited that shee hauls ass now and wanted to tell you all. Thanks again, you guys have been tons of help. :notworthy: Mike

Also wanted to ask about the parking break and tors. I have heard of disconecting them but am not to sure how. If someone can give me detailed directions on how to do this that would be great. I have ordered a brake block off plate but it hasnt gotten here yet. I would like to get rid of the TORS alltogether but dont know what I need or how to do that so just disconecting it would work for now. Thanks again you guys rock :headbang:

there's a plug under the gas tank on the left side on the top frame tube. unplug it. the parking brake has two plugs, one up by the lever and then one down lower by the radiator, unplug them both.

Thanks sredish Ill give that a try tomarrow. what is the cheapest way of getting rid of the TORS on top of the carbs? they're ugly and take up to much room. Thanks again, Mike
