banghead i JUST RE-BUILT MY TOP END AND PUT NEW SEALS IN WHILE I WAS AT IT. I HAVE HER ALL READY TO BREAK THE TOP END IN TO SEAT THE RINGS. I START HER UP AND LET HER IDLE TO WARM UP. ITS NOT LONG BEFORE I NOTICE THAT THE CLUTCH SIDE PIPE IS WARM BUT THE OTHER IS COLD. wtf. I PULL THE PLUGS AND THE COLD PLUG LOOKS LIKE I JUST PUT IT IN AND THE OTHER LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD AFTER IDLING FOR A FEW MINUTES. I CHECK FUEL FLOW, LOOKS OKAY, I CHECK THE BOWLS AND THEY HAVE FUEL. I CHECK THE SPARK AND IT HAS SPARK.WHAT AM I MISSING?

Adjust the air screws so they are even, make sure the slides are even, clean the pilot jet on the side that isn't warm at idle, check your reeds to be sure they are not cracked and that the pedels are flat against the cage.

well, I took off the carbs. pulled all the jets and gave her a good bath in brake cleaner. I made sure everything was in sync with the other carb and then fired her up. it was fine. I think the kneedle jet was pluged.

it's a real commen for the clutch side to be hotter then the trany side. because of the tranny fluid acts as a kind of coolant on that side of the case. so it takes more time to heat up and cools down much faster.... My builder even confrimed that for me. .. But if it they don't even out after a while yah got a problem. I would say give it 2mins-3mins to be even
