chipdog Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 they are having there mountain bike race the two same days as the desert race so dont get stuck in the wrong crowd. also there are very tight trails in socorro so wide might not be better. someone take along some fix a flat because there are some sharp rocks that might puncture. other than that get a lot of practice because this is one of the hardest tracks in new mexico( so ive heard). as for las vegas went there monday for a delivery and there were a lot of ruts from the rain . ABM-Cannibal Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 chipdog, I don't think there is anywhere to ride at that hill. I have never seen any trails on it and it looks like pure rocks. As you enter Belen to the right there are a little of hills and trails to ride. Let me know if you come by there. I practiced with Chris, Jason and T.J. this Sunday and had a great time at Southern. Tried to get them to go to Soccorro but nobody wanted to. Maybe this Sunday. Got pretty sore. This is my first real ride since the last race. Two more weeks to get in to shape. Quote

I have a leak in my Coolant bottle hose so I need to tighten it up for the race. Besides that, just clean her up and grease her in the right places. . How about everyone else? BenBB Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I'm just about set, just gotta rejet and sync my carbs tonight. Got my PRM belly skid plate, swingarm skidplate and TM roller chain guide, and some 20" Holeshot XC's on stock rims so should be good to go. I still have that 15T sprocket on the front, hafta see how the preride goes, might need to switch back to the 14. I'll be there no later than 2pm, actually prolly will be closer to noon but either way I'll be there way before the preride starts. Anybody heard from Chris or Jason yet? Dustin you for sure out of it? Hope T.J. is feelin' up to racing too... Quote
