Nighty Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 I know there is a mod for the flywheel cover. Looks awesome with a plexiglass plate in it. and whats with that kx 80 flywheel stuff? Quote
suprise Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 Yeah buddy im a smck head I did run a kawasaki 80 Known down under as a kx 80 h2 is a 1987 model the run a reverse stator which is rotor where the stator used to be and so on kind of like a brushless motor as in electric which is lighter than any rotor you can get lightend now that i am racing the rpm would come down too quick in a corner like a 4 stroke so i got ridd or that and i am running rz. Nighty Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Prob with that rotor stuff is that it wont generate power for lights and all. You must be running a complete rz setup then. since only a flywheel wont work on banshee electrics. Can you comeup with a wire scema for that kx 80 flywheel setup? Quote
jinx44 Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 The "reverse stator" he is talking about is basically like a PVL. Some bikes such as the KX80 use a rotor. He is just using the stock KX parts and putting them on the banshee. PVL would be a lot simpler. I used a YZ490 rotor on a 750 twin motorcycle once. Bdbanshee has done a few flywheels for me. They look awesome. Actually, one is in the mail back from him as we speak. Quote
Minkia38 Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 bd banshee did mine 2 years ago (still havent installed it - wont fit on the rZ - maybe the stroker...... ) his company Bansheeworx does top notch work boonman did some work for me too = top notch clear stator covers? what a sweet idea good thing I did mine about 3 years ago! look at those NASTY pipes: Quote
suprise Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 No scema all you need is the kx 80 stator and rotor and black box from the same its that easy the kx and a limited amount of others fire twice on one revolution thats why we can use them. there is way more advanced ones from a diferent type of bike but and i am still chasing them when i get them or a few ill post but not until i get some for my self first Quote
theeechozen1 Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 someone told me that the flywheel mod isn't a good idea for a fat-ass like myself (270lbs).....any thoughts?? Quote
