Motoman991 Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 my brother has a raptor and the only way to make them pieces of shit go faster is to do something like a engine swap, something like a hayabusa engine. it should really move then Quote
bansheeboy2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Put some FCR carbs on it you can get them from curtis sparks then throw a pipe yoshamira is a good one then get rid of that airbox and put some k&n's straight off the carbs just doing that is a big HP increase we had one on the dyno and it jumped from 38 (Stock HP) to 44HP and then put a 686 (or bigger) kit in it if you go with a 686 you just have to bore. When you go to a 727 then you have to resleeve. Then some hotcams or some DASA cams and some high performance springs. But we have a raptor that eats up most banshee's that aren't highly moded so thats a way good start :D BUT BANSHEES ARE STILL BAD ASS Quote
nickxc Posted August 11, 2004 Author Report Posted August 11, 2004 well I rode my buddys rappy this morning so I could get a feel of it then did the jet swap this afternoon and cut a huge hole in the top of the air box. then I took my shee and my gf took the rappy. when we where running up the roads she was sneaking up on me and flying by me and It took me several seconds to get back past her. then we swapped and I rode it for a while it really woke up nice. I was impressed just swapped out the stock 140/145 jets for a couple 160/165's and cut the air box and she runs much nicer. still boreing 4 stroke power but just a little more of it... Quote
banshee890 Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 yea 4 strokes are 2 bring to drive Quote
cam2 Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 (edited) make a raptor fast??????? you could always put a rocket engine on it like some guy did in a video that i saw i believe it was on alba's website...........OH BOY Edited August 11, 2004 by cam2 Quote
micorps1 Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 The guys i rode with last weekend at Florence and Windchester Bay Oregon had some nice Raptors and since they sit so high stock they put banshee shocks and everything on them to make them sit lower to the ground for a lower center of gravity Quote
