Ingemi13 Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Do you have to rebuild the banshee alot. I have a blaster will it run just as long. i want to buy a banshee n i dont want a quad that it goin to need fixing alot. if u write thanks alot. Quote
banshee04le Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 In stock trim, or properly jetted with just some pipes, the banshee is very reliable. It's not uncommon to get 5 or 6 yrs of hard riding before having to think about doing a topend. Engine, tranny, chassis...its all stood the test of time. When you start porting the jugs and or raising compression, you will have to keep a closer eye on things though. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 yup he got it, some people are on there 6th year with a stock topend, and others go though 3 topends in a year, it all depends on how you treat and maitain your quad Quote
superchicken Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 (edited) 3 topends in a year, it all depends on how you treat and maitain your quad yep, ive had mine for 4 years now and i rebuild my top end on mine every spring, its more of a piece of mind redo. i ride most of the year,at least 20 hours a month, just now rebiulding the bottom end.good luck on your decision. sweetshee4312 Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 yea, u take care of it...it will take care of u....but banshees are pretty easy to work on two, no cams, valves, ne thing, straight forward Quote
Banchetta Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Pretty much what everyone said....Make sure your jetting is spot on, and the shee will run for 3-5 years on a set of pistons....I rebuild mine every 3-4 years just for good maintenance and it still pushes the same compression when I pull it apart.
