jstew Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Have wanted to try gearing down for the dunes so I put a 13 tooth sprocket up front like alot of guys I know. Now I can't adjust the stock chain enough to get all the slack out of it. The bike is an 03 and only has about 8 or 9 rides total so I wouldn't think that the chain has stretched too much. Any suggestions as to what's going on here. thanks jstew Quote
Master of Faster Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Pretty standard problem, you can try taking links out of the chain to tighten it up but you risk making it too short for your other gearing. Easiest would be to buy a larger rear sproket as opposed to a smaller front. 14/43 or 14/44 will be about the same as 13/41. Quote
