antwa Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 It was in 1994 that I first took a ride on a friend Quote
pimp559 Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Glad you were not hurt any worse. It won't be long and you'll be back on it. Learning respect is tough thing sometimes. Quote
J..J. Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Ja boet, jy wil mos! I'm sure the wounds and ego will heal well enough to ride again soon. Hopefully no-one saw you go over the bars. At least this gives you more time to browse the BHQ! Quote

J.J. Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 When will you be back in South Africa? Afraid that the shee will get rusted all alone in Durban without proper attention. Antwa, good to see you're still here buddy. How's the shoulder & arm doing? My bike is stored in my fathers garage at the moment. I made damn sure that everything was prepared properly for storage, lots of advice from the HQ members at the time, so I'm sure it's ok. My Dad kicks it over once in a while, and runs a couple of teaspoons full of Yamalube down the plug holes. All the shiny bits have been covered by WD40 or "Spray'nCook" to prevent corrosion. Unfortunately he has to move it around the garage quite often so I couldn't keep the wheels in the air like I wanted, I resorted to putting the old stock tyres on there for now... Don't know when I'll be back Don't know if you're aware of this site in SA, it's not too bad. www.e-dirt.co.za Quote
antwa Posted July 16, 2004 Author Report Posted July 16, 2004 Glad to hear you took such good care of your shee before leaving. Sounds like that is one loved shee you got there. Shoulder Quote
BansheeJerry Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 antwa, Glad you werent hurt any worse than what you were. Dont feel bad. Wrecks happen to the best of us. Just take it in stride and dont be afraid to hop back on her and go again. Thank GOD I havent had a serious wreck YET (knock on wood) I have had some serious close calls but somehow managed to stay on her and keep her in the upright position. You will be screaming on her again in no time (I know easy for me to say). Quote
