Perpetual Child Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 My quad after putting in fattys and silencers ran really great... Took the next step and installed dynojet with K&N filter... At first it didtn have any power... NONE. I puit in a smaller jet and now it starts but I get more smoke coming outta one muffler than the other. Its aster tho. I also have lots a trouble getting it to start. Plus after 20 minutes of use it idles very very fast. I couldnt start it at all today. Whats wrong? Quote

If you search in the jetting and exhaust forum enough you will find plenty of info to help you. I sounds like you also need to properly adjust your air and idle skrews. let us know how you are making out. Also i would try larger not smaller jets Quote
Banchetta Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 You didn't put the equalizer tube back on between the carbs...also known as the choke tube...1/4" x2" long.....goes in between the 2 carbs....could have disconnected when you pulled the carbs off w/o you knowing. Quote
