Flood Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 What is the recommended way to get to 90HP? Can this be done reliably? Quote
NYUK Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 cheetah mono block, t rex mono block, stock cylinders on alcohol with a full drag port, most reliable way would be to go monoblock.YOU DIDN T SAY WHAT KIND OF RIDING. Quote

True. This engine is going into a street/track motorcycle frame. So I am looking for engine that will compatible with that. Edited June 29, 2004 by Flood Quote
itsaripper Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Have you ever heard of the Yamaha 350 RZ? They did what you want to do already. Only the power valve system has better bottem end than the banshee, and made about 50+ something hp. I think they were made 83,84,85,86 for the US market. Look into one of those. Quote

Very familiar with the RZ350. That was my 2nd choice (after the rz500) however, I got the banshee motor for free, so the money saved can buy the cheetah or t-rex cylinders. Pit-bull racing did a hawk/rz conversion which gave me the idea. Along with others, a rz/banshee combo in a TZ frame etc... Quote
00BANSHEE Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Got 80 Hp from the 400 cheetah setup right off the shelf. This is with the stock stroke crank and on race gas. Could easily get 90 HP with a little port work and still retain the bottom end due to the power valves. Quote
