cdcoxwell Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 I have to buy a clutch kit. Barnett seems to be the crowd favorite. I basiclly ride dirt roads and trails. Nowhere to race where I live. The steelership said that they could order a aftermarker for around $45. I'm not worried about the cost of the Barnett if it is really that much better. All opinions welcomed. Feel free to shed some light on the pros and cons of diff. clutches. Thx, Cary Quote
DirtRider Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 im installing a barnett digger cluth this weekend. when i bought it i heard only good things about it. it seem some people think they shouldnt have ever been made though. im not sure witch one is best. Quote
cdcoxwell Posted May 25, 2004 Author Report Posted May 25, 2004 Thx for replying, I hope it works well for you. Let us know. I have also seen TUSK from rockymtnatv mentioned here, that is was a good one for $30. I don't mind spending the 80-100 bucks for the digger if it is that much better.BUT,, what makes it better. Keep us posted on yours. thx, cary Quote
Mod Banshee Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I like the Team Alba Clutch Kit. That is what I have in my Banshee. Quote

DUNEDEMON Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Hinson (the clutch basket company) just released their own line of clutches, I have no idea if they are any better than the ones mentioned already though. Might be worth a look... Quote
Mod Banshee Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Yes Hinson does make good Stuff, Like I said I have the Team Alba Clutch kit with the Hinson Clutch Basket and the Hinson Cushions and Hinson Pressure Plate. I would off want full Hinson but it is $900. Quote
ledofthezep Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I've heard nothing bad about the TUSK clutches, if I ever fry my DirtDigger(never had any problems with) I'll try a tusk just for shits,...hell you could get a couple for the price of one DD. Quote
Blacksmith Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 I would go with the Tusk if you can get one. Seems like they are out of stock every time I try. I have heard really good things about Tusk parts, and I am going to get one just to have a spare in the box. Quote
cdcoxwell Posted May 28, 2004 Author Report Posted May 28, 2004 O.k. I will be the ginny pig . I will buy a tusk, if it is in stock, just for kicks and the fact it is only $30 isn't that bad. I will post and tell you guys how well it works. Quote
