bansheeMD Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Ok, well its about time to replace the old clutch and I need a little advice. I have heard that the stock clutch is a good replacement. The questions I have is how does that compare to the Dirt Digger or the EBC?? Please help I sure do appreciate it Quote
picco26 Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 i ran stock steels and fibers for quite some time but i did change the springs. i put barnett springs, well three and three stockers. you can buy stock individual fibers or plates, but while i was there id just put a barnett kit in it. If so dont use the rubber cush rings thats on the stock clutches. and i wouldnt use all the heavy springs (to much clutch pull). the last set i bought came with stock replacement springs and heavy springs i just split em up 3 & 3. i take my steels and find some kinda rough concrete and rub in a figure 8 pattern then clean em good with a scotch pad. hope this helps. Cotton eyed Joe Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Soak them in what ever you are going to be using in your transmission oil for an hour or so. Some say longer, some say less.... Quote
