MILO Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 (edited) clean both of the filters frequently, especially after a day of really dusty or muddy/wet riding. any change to air flow will require rejetting. unless you get into water over the airbox, ditch the lid all together and rejet accordingly. the pro flow should work great, but you WILL have to clean the filters more frequently, but it's well worth it. Rescuejeff Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I have the same Pro Design adpator, I clean and reoil the K&N after every weekend, even with a Outwear. I do sand only which is worse than dust, so do what you please, but if it was me, I would be doing the wash after every trip!!! Quote
U8RSAND-Az Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 There's no substitute for a clean filter. When I go camping for 3-5 days I take a couple of cleaned and oiled filters put them in separate Ziploc bags and change the filter in the mornings. Just let go of some of that cash and live the good life! Quote
nickxc Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Just let go of some of that cash and live the good life! agreed!! take that lid off if you don't drown it in water frequently and rejet accordingly. read your plugs and you'll gain lots of hp's without that lid and proper jetting. Quote
