stogy3 Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 I have a cut in the sidewall of front holeshot. It didn't rip the tire wide open just down to the fabric, just enough to slowly leak. Should I replace the tire or can I run it with a tube? I have a tire plug in it know so it doesn't go flat in it's parking spot, will this last in the trail? Quote
SyNtAxx Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Hello, See if you can find a tire shop that can Vulcanize the rubber.... i had a spidertrack that had a gaping whole in it...they fixed it right up..... Tho trying to find somebody who can vulcanize might be like finding gold... Nick Quote
erbilabuc Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 patch it from the inside and over the outside of the cut spread some black engine high temp rtv. Works great man Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 If the rip is not too big just throw a tube in it and be done, one less thing to worry about on the trail. Quote
Otis Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 I've plugged a few tires w/ side wall punctures, and have had no problems... The inner patch sounds like a good idea too... Quote
