McSkinner Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Whatup fellas? I recently mounted my new TAG T2's and I'm having trouble getting the throttle assembly and the brake ressi to fit right. So I picked up the thumb throttle from a TRX125. It looks great. The assembly is nice and small and the lever is all aluminum and pretty long. I need some help though. Does anyone know how much pull the stock Yami lever has? This Honda lever pulls the cable exactly 1 7/16" (3.5cm). I don't want to use it if it's not gonna open my throttle enough, you know? So any help is greatly appreciated as always. Mule skinner Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 ill take ur old shee throttle if u wanna sell it Quote
Oilsmoke Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Hey Skinner you Have the answer. Was in my first post. Measure your carb slides than you will know if your TRX125 Throttle will work. Quote
Blue Duece Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 pull it full tilt ......then reach in your intake and see if you can push the slides up any more by hand........you should hear them top out......worst case take your cable to a custom shop and have them take a 1/16 or 1/8 off the cable leaving the housing in tact and you'll be stylin, or if it has an adjust back all the slack out of it...
