Banchetta Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 If your talking about the carbon buildup on the pistons, then its normal....Use high octane fuel and you won't get that....other than that. I can't see the pics.. Quote
boonman Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 High octane fuel may cause more of a buildup if he doesn't have the compression to burn it completely.... Maybe he deosn't grab enough throttle to clean it out....... Quote
LIsurfer_ Posted May 4, 2004 Author Report Posted May 4, 2004 ok its seems to be carbon and I am taking the head off to redo the top end....compression was shitty...85 and 90 what can I use to get that shit off of there? Thx Quote
boonman Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 A BFH and BFC. (big fuckin hammer and big fuckin chisel) J/K Use some sand paper. A small pick, and some lacquer thinner..... WOrks like a champ.... Scotch-brite and mineral spirits also works too... Quote
banshee04le Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 A screwdriver works best in my opinion. Just gently scrape it off without gouging or scratching the aluminum. After scraping it gently and completely, clean it with carb cleaner. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 damn dude, what kinda oil do you use? Quote
