But on Saturday they were out in full force!!! I was up there with a new set of toomeys and no "sparkys" or hush kit. They wouldnt let me in But I will say they were very polite about it,I knew what I was getting into but I figured I would give it a shot If I were you, I would get some spark arresters and make sure you are not too loud!!! By the way that trip we took was in April of last year. From what I hear they are not to strick at that time of the year.Ive been to Silver Lakes a total of 15 times and never have been checked for decible level Or,If you have a pickup truck, just put the quad in the back, drive the pickup into the dunes, park on the beach, and ride Quote

alcoholbanshee Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 I was sound checked in my bone stock 2001 Silverado with a 4.8 motor last weekend. It has no mods whatsoever. So I would say they are a little more serious this year. The only thing I can think of why they would check me is they check every so many vehicles. Regardless of how loud they are. Quote
