I am going to be getting a 04 banshee soon it will be my first ATV. The dealer said if i keep it clean and maintain it will be reliable. I dont know how to clutch yet he said he will show me what to do and i should learn it in about 15 minutes. What should i prepare for when getting a banshee and how fast are they and what is a 04 banshees horespower?

Thanks.

Good choice my man, my first quad was a banshee. I learned to ride on trails out in PA. That made things hard, but if I learned then you can. Find yourself a nice long flat spot and you will be fine. Stay in touch with here, and make sure you share you first event with us, pit falls and all.

Some where on here there is a thread called, Your first banshee ride. Read that and you might be prepaired for the thrill.

As far as clutching goes, just do what I told my girl to do her first time ridin a banshee. Put it in first, hold the gas about half throttle and dump the clutch. But please hold on, i dont want you to become another statistic and havin more people wantin us to stop ridin atv's because there dangerous.

watch the throttle, some people freak when the power band hits. but dont short shift it. youll see what i mean when your on it.

Jon 23 How old are you?

The Banshee in stock form is some wheres around 37 Hp.

It should go over 60 mph so where a Helmet And a Diaper for ease of cleanup after the first ride. They Are fun and can be mayed to be unbeatable in a drag race.

Enjoy.

Oh Check your transmission oil level first. You never know about some dealerships.

Here is the drill for beginners on any two stroke bike or quad. Give it a little gas and then slowly feather out the clutch only until she starts to move. Then without anymore clutch slowly add gas and you will have a smooth start. Do not try to fully realease clutch untill completelly underway. I have taught many novices and this drill of only half clutch works fine. Take it easy until you get the feel. Do not try to learn on pavement. Oh ya, helmet and health insurance.

Get in a big open field.Pull in the clutch and shift into first.Move to the front of the seat, give it half throttle and slowly let out on the clutch. You will feel it start to go forward slowly and hold on  Get the banshee with white plastics and red frame.

im still 14 and was when i started driving Banshees and that was the first time i drove a quad. You shouldnt have any problems managing the power, just do what i did and wheelie her a little in 1st. 2nd. and 3rd. goin down my paved street then just keep the gas pegged while shifting to 4th 5th and all the way through 6th. What a rush
